(1906) Check - L. S. Lawrence & Co. Bankers - New York - February 12, 1875. - Condition: Excellant Was made out to Schroder & Bon for $142.00. It has an InterRev stamp with a hand date written across the top. A listing for the bankers says they bought and sold gold, securities, stocks and also dealt with drafts from England, Ireland and Scotland. Charles Frazier and F.E. Williams were the general partners. Mr. Frank E. Williams died on March 16, 1882 of heart disease at the age of 54. In 1845 Mr. Williams was a general trader with the Native Americans at the Choctaw Indian Agency in Arkansas. He joined L.S Lawrence in 1871. The check measures 7 1/2" by 2 1/2".
