(879) War Ration Book 4 - WWII- Condition: Good Cover has darkened. Most of the stamps are included. The first page, stamps marked as SPARE and numbered 1 to 48 ( with 5 stamps missing). Next page, stamps are marked with torch and use letters and numbers for ID. All of this page is intact. Next 2 pages stamps are marked with wheat symbol - these have 1 row each of stamps left. Next page, torch symbol - letters and numbers for ID - all stamps intact. Last page - Marked Spare and numbers 41 through 71 are present. ***Interesting Information: There were three colors of ration books. Everyone over fourteen had a beige book. Babies and toddlers had pink books.
Children between four and fourteen had blue books. The different books allowed people to obtain the items they needed according to their age. **SOLD!!**
