(1703) September 30, 1909 - Berry-Hall Co. - Burlington, Vermont. Condition: Very Good Billhead measures 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" and has been folded. There is an attractive Vignette with the company name. Berry-Hall Co. handled Teas, Coffees, Spices, and Baking Powder. Original name of the company was Miner, Pope & Co. They leased what is now called The Berry Hall Building which was built in 1871. The company changed names many times, and ended up with Berry-Hall Co. as its final name until the company went bankrupt in 1934 shortly after the Great Depression. The building still stands in Burlington. The bill was made out to R.H. Pond in East Berkshire. There is a record of an H. A. Pond who is listed as a Grain Dealer and Shipper in East Berkshire, VT, in 1891. This bill was for Gold Star Coffee. Price: $7.00 + shipping
