(1695) January 18, 1926 - Vermont Hardware Co. Inc. - Wholesalers - Burlington, Vermont. Condition: Good Plus Billhead measures 8 1/2" by 5 1/4". Has a colored picture of Whitney Silent Timing Chains in upper left corner. Typed bill was for a saw. It was sent to R. H. Pond in East Berkshire, Vermont. There is a record of an H. A. Pond who is listed as a Grain Dealer and Shipper in East Berkshire, VT, in 1891. Some darkening at bottom and upper corner wrinkled. The Vermont Hardware Co. still exists in Burlington. It purchased the Lumiere Complex in 1914 from John Flynn, and moved its business from Adams Block on Bank Street to the complex in 1915. In 1919, a fire destroyed the interior of the building, and it was rebuilt in 1921. A 1926 (Same year as Billhead), Sanborn Map shows the warehouse in this area as being part of the Vermont Hardware Complex. Price: $5.00 + Shipping.
