(1456) October 4, 1911 - Williamsburgh City Fire Ins. Co. - Minneapolis, Minnesota. Condition: Very Good Letterhead measures 8" by 11" and has been folded. Has a very nice vignette of the Office Building. Letter was typed and was sent to W. C. Klein in Bemidji, Minnesota, and was about a meeting to discuss a land proposition. Interesting note: Williamsburgh City Fire Ins. Co. was involved in a court proceeding in 1910. The court proceeding had to do with the company allowing an insured customer to recover damages for a fire "the remote cause of which was an earthquake". They were brought to court by Pacific Heating and Ventilating Co in California. There is a record of the company's presence in Baltimore in 1904. It was established in the city of Williamsburgh, New York in 1853. Price: $8.50 + Shipping.
